SPANISH CHAMPIONSHIP OF POKER

Spain has registered an increasing number of poker players, who enjoy their favourite cards game in both online poker rooms as well as in poker tables at the land based casinos.

The increasing popularity of this game explains the great expectation created by the Spanish Championship of Poker, whose IX phase is taking place at the Kursaal Casino located in San Sebastian. So far, Noel Prat still in first position with 38 points, closely followed by Bruño Ortuño with 36 points and Rodrigo Martin with 33. However nothing is decided yet and we will have to wait till the final that will take place in Alicante during the month of December.

But what is already 100% sure is that the tournament is a total success and that the changes introduced from previous years editions have brought positive results. One of the more welcomed changes were the increase of the initial stack from 10.000 to 15.000 and the introduction of satellite tournaments which made possible to participate in the tournament without having to pay the 660 Euros buy-in.
